GP earnings

All GP surgeries are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for doctors working to deliver NHS services to patients.

Please note that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it does not take into account how much time doctors spend working in the surgery and therefore should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other surgeries.

The average pay value is before tax and National Insurance deductions. This is for 4 part-time GPs who worked in the surgery for more than six months:
